30 years...and counting

A few weeks ago, I realized that I was coming up on my 30 year anniversary practicing chiropractic in Chester County, PA. It's amazing to think of all the years that have gone by, but I am certainly grateful and thrilled to have been able to meet and help the wonderful people throughout the area.

My family threw me a beautiful anniversary party with lots of friends and family invited that I was completely surprised about. I still really can't believe that these many years have past.

But...the years have gone on in all their glory.

I just want to extend my sincere appreciation to the people I have had a pleasure to work on and meet. It's a blessing to have ones work involve attempting to increase the qualify of ones life. I hope and pray to continue doing my thang with #chiropractic and extending my love and care to the patients of Chester County.

As I am completely thankful for this I extend an upcoming peaceful and joyous Thanksgiving holiday to all.

Thanks again!

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

It's Never Too Late...

A couple of weeks ago I had a patient I hadn't seen for  many years come in and get some work done on her neck. She relayed to me that she had the neck issues for a bunch of years and just decided to live with it until now.

It reminded me of a patient from many, many years ago. A young woman, about 35, came in with lots of chronic issues that were residual problems from a real bad car accident she was in. She went for physical therapy and after a while was told that she probably has reached her maximum improvement.

If you know any people who are living with their chronic issues because they think that "nothing can be done"-those are people that should run, not walk, to the local chiropractic office. Chiropractic and chronic problems are like mom and apple pie-please keep this in mind.

I pray everyone is safe and healthy from the recent weather we have had in the region. Continue to be careful and watch over for each other.

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

Be Smart on the Fourth...

As the weekend holiday looms the hospitals, emergency rooms and local clinics are all getting ready for the onslaught. We humans have a tendency to do silly things on this holiday, and often silly things lead to an array of injuries. Whether it's from fireworks, surfing, wave running, beach activities, boardwalking, etc. etc. the 4th of July weekend is always filled with mishaps.

So I urge you all to be smart, keep thinking about what you do, listen to your bodies and if you feel that something is aggravating your body stop doing it.

I also want to take this time to wish everyone a safe and glorious holiday weekend. Wear your masks if where you go asks you too. For those that have not been vaccinated, consider this weekend a good time to do so if you wish. Enjoy and be careful.

Remember we are here for you in office when you need us. And of course...

Always remember and never forget- "If you have a fifth on the fourth, you may not be able to go forth on the fifth."

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

Get Back on the Ball...

This past Covid year has certainly been unbelievable and far-reaching. That being said, it seems like blue skies are finally breaking through.

Due to so many services being put on hold, many follow up exams or procedures or tests had been put on hold.

I urge all of you to please get Back on the Ball and if you have procedures or tests you should have gotten last year please reschedule them. Whether its a dental cleaning, a Colonoscopy, a Mammogram or that ever important Chiropractic adjustment! The importance of these tests and procedures are undeniable-please reschedule any and all appointments you missed during the Covid time.

Please try to get vaccinated if you have not yet. Give us a call anytime for your continued chiropractic care or consultation.

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

Don't Wait Any Longer!

I met a patent last week-a 45 year old female who was coming in with chronic neck pain and restriction of motion, chronic mid shoulder blade stiffness and chronic low back issues for many years. After examining and talking to the patient, I adjusted her a couple of times during the week and she came back this week with a smile on her face from ear to ear.

Of course I asked her "What are you so happy about" and she says- "I can't believe how much better I feel." This is something that I have heard 1000's of times over the years. The scenario is one that I have seen 1000's of times over the years as well.

The scenario I am referring to is human beings living with issues that take away from their quality of life and patients then finally trying #chiropractic when it might be too late and the pain is too much.

Don't make that mistake for yourself or someone you know. There is no reason to live with those issues when there is something available that very likely will help to an amazing and healing degree. All you need to do is call, email or message the office-please have a safe weekend, keep wearing those masks when you have to and be healthy.

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

"It doesn't take much"

A couple of days ago I had a new patient come in who is in his early 60s. He said to me he has never had low back issues before and he was in considerable amount of discomfort. I asked him as I always do, "did any incident create this" because over the years their are times when something a person does can trigger a health issue or a persons repetition at work can create issues or even many times patients will say "doc, I didn't do anything."

So, again, I asked this new patient if anything triggered his discomfort/this incident. He said yes finally-last week I was pushing my slippers out of the way...
Over the past 35 years of adjusting human beings, I have heard lots of interesting ways that people hurt themselves-pushing slippers out of the way is one of the funnier things I've heard. When this patient mentioned the slippers I started chuckling and apologizing because I had just met this person. He didn't get mad at me because he knew I had a good heart as he was referred to the office for just such issues with lower backs.

I mention this story because people will deal with their issues and not come in for treatment because they feel like it will go away in a couple of days and in fact sometimes that is true. But its always a good idea to come into the office, call or email us if you think something is an issue. Dr. Ray will give you some stretches to do at home, give you a consultation or adjustment and just check you out to make sure all is ok.

Unfortunately there are innumerable ways to aggravate our spine. So keep on being safe and healthy, wear your masks and be kind. Dr. Ray is fully vaccinated and ready to keep on serving the great folks of Chester County. Thanks for the continued support.

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

STOP WAITING-and come in!

Last week I met a patient who was in her late 40's who has chronic neck and mid-shoulder blade pain that she has had for years. She has
gone to her medical doctors a bunch of times and they talk about doing some exercise or taking Advil if she is in too much pain. Most of the doctors will not suggest chiropractic for these types of patients.

If you looked in the dictionary for the definition of "a typical new chiropractic patient" you would see this woman's picture. Why? The scenario is repeated a million times a week through the world. People who have a certain issue with their Neuro-muscular skeletal body take enough over the counter meds to get by and live with the condition.

I asked this new patient a question I have asked 1000s of times over my almost 30 years of practicing-Why haven't you come in before? Her answer was, as most answers are, "I thought I had to live with it, I thought it was apart of getting older."

I am not saying that Chiropractic is the answer to all of these problems, but I am saying that it is the answer to many of these issues since many of the reasons for this condition are living our lives and the stresses our lives contain.

So give the office a call, help yourself by getting an adjustment and you will say what most of these people end up saying, which is "I wish I would of come to see you years ago."

Stay healthy, stay well and stay safe.

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

Hip, Hip Hooray-2021 is here...

It certainly has been a crazy year in multiple levels and hopefully as the vaccine gets distributed efficiently Covid-19 will become something that is in our past.

But, until that time please keep social distancing where possible, washing hands thoroughly and wearing masks when needed so we don't have to deal with spikes in communities, etc.

With all of the stress from working from home and sitting more than usual our spines have been attacked and negatively effected.

Give the office a call and get in to get adjusted asap as #chiropractic continues to be helpful and assist in our overall health while assisting in a stable immune system.

We continue to keep our office clean and sanitary while following all guidelines needed for everyone's safety.

Happy New Year to all! Looking forward to seeing you in the office again this year and continue being smart with your gatherings...

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

Keep being vigilant...

I was out shopping recently in Chester County and the traffic was unbelievable. I was sitting in my car waiting to move and I realized it was nice seeing humans out living their lives-it was a good feeling.

But then I thought I hope everyone is being smart living their lives...

Of course its terrific to get back to some kind of normalcy but unfortunately we are not quite there yet.

I urge all of you to obviously continue to wear the masks when needed, wash your hands thoroughly, social distance when you can , limit your gatherings this holiday season as much as you can while not going to overcrowded places if you can help it.

I continue to suggest to patients to get adjusted as we continue to make sure the office is clean, sanitized and under proper protocols needed for Covid times.

I really hope everyone has a safe and joyous holiday. Keep in mind that we are fairly close to getting through this pandemic so keep being smart, caring about your fellow humans and always remember and never forget that Dr. Ray is here to help.

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

Thankfulness even during Covid...

It's always hard to think positive or be thankful when life is dealing you hardship. So as Thanksgiving approaches, it is just a reminder from Dr. Ray that in the depth of Covid, Governmental issues and racial inequality its important to remember blessings.
Even when we are dealing with all of these difficulties, there is also blessings and thankfulness to be celebrated and enjoyed.

Dr. Ray and staff want to extend to all of you a healthy and blessed thanksgiving day. It may not be with as much family as we are used to, but we are trying to be smart during this pandemic.
The office will be open 11/28 for Small Business Saturday! Give us a call or email for an appointment.

Again-Dr. Ray wants to thank everyone for their loving wishes as he continues to heal from his surgery!!!

The Power of Healing...

With my left hip replacement surgery complete the problem I had with degenerative joint disease, lack of cartilage, the top of my femur bone barley functioning and the non existent joint space created cascading pain that my body could not heal.

This kind of degenerative condition essentially caused by the wear and tear of living our lives is a problem that the human body can not heal on its own. Fortunately, modern surgical evolution has enabled me to receive a new hip joint there by eradicating all the symptoms I was suffering with. Now each passing day and the exercising I am doing strengthens the area and is on target to make this surgery a 100% success.

But still, the healing process goes on which is part of our amazing human body make up.

Again, I want to thank everyone for the loving thoughts and care displayed the last month or so. It is and always will be appreciated.

Keep on being Covid responsible!!!

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

PS:

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Ray continues to heal and get stronger. His hip replacement was a total success and as of this Tuesday, November 17th he will be back in the office to take care of his wonderful patients.

Oh, By the way-Dr. Ray is a degenerate?

In reality, Dr. Ray isn't really a degenerate but his body has acquired degenerative issues. It certainly isn't unusual for a human body to degenerate, although this may sound unpleasing it really is the bodies reaction to wear and tear and living life. Joints get over worked and underpaid and start to wither away.
It is what happens on Earth...If we lived on the moon we wouldn't have to deal with it because gravity could take away the pain and strain of the issues we live with sometimes.

But...we do live on Earth so we have to deal with wear and tear, Covid issues and other unfortunate things. So Dr. Rays left hip withered away over time to the point where thankfully hip replacement is a procedure that is done these days to a large degree and in a successful manor.

So starting Saturday, October 10th. Dr. Ray will be getting surgery and healing up while out of the office for some time. We will certainly call everyon
e when he is ready to be back and start adjusting again. If anyone needs to be adjusted during this time, call the office and we will get you in touch with another Chiropractor in the area as he is on call to help/assist during this time.
Have a sweet Halloween and we will be in touch.
Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

Don't forget about YOU...

We certainly hope all of you are staying healthy and smart during this on going Covid time. It's like life stopped for everybody in early March and thank goodness our lives are getting back to some sort of new normalcy.

So this is just to remind everyone that if you had tests scheduled for yourselves in March, April, May, June or July of this year to please not forget about them.

1- That mammogram you set up-make sure to reschedule

2-The colonoscopy that you were so looking forward to having,-make sure to get it back on the books

3- The dermatological exam you booked in-make sure to get it back on your calendar

4- If you have not had a good eye check up, OPEN YOUR EYES AND GET IT BACK ON YOUR RADAR

It is so pathetically easy to forget about yourself as you try to take care of everyone else during these historic times. So get the ball rolling and take care of yourself!

Of course, don't forget to call, email or message Resnick Chiropractic to get your body adjusted. We are here to help...

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

My Children...

Unbelievably so, this October I will be celebrating 30 years of practice in Chester County. It really does blow my mind that 30 years have gone by and  it makes me feel terrific I have been able to deliver Chiropractic care to Chester County all of these years.

But...some things never change. Very early into my practice I realized that patients don't listen to me. I'll give them loving, constructive advice and there is many times I could tell that they are not listening to me like I was talking to my own children. How many times as a parent will you give advice to your children but you could tell that they are just not listening to you. Patients are the same way.

Last week this woman came into the office who I have known over the years, was complaining about her shoulder pain. I told her to make sure to listen to your body, but she kept on doing the same thing that was aggravating her shoulder joints.

I just want to say again as I have said a million times these past years that it is important to listen to your body. If you enjoy jogging and after your knee swells up like a watermelon maybe its time to walk and not jog for a while. There are so many examples like that but that continues to be apart of my job to remind patients about how the body works and keep them as healthy as I can.

Hope all your families are feeling fine. Keep practicing your Covid smart behavior and give the office a call to get adjusted if you need, that is always a good thing to do.

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

Pandemic Interference

First, I hope all of you are feeling well and taking good care of yourselves while wearing the masks and social distancing.
Since the Pandemic has interrupted all of our lives in so many ways there are some things that I need to remind everyone to do that perhaps you couldn't have done in the last 4 or 5 months. There is lots of preventative tests that we should all do in a timely fashion that helps prevent illness and health issues-I am sure there are many of you, including me, that forgot to reschedule these tests, etc. For further reference:

1- Dental Cleaning-at least 1 per year but 2 times is better
2- Mammogram-if you missed this so far this year, very important
3- Dermatology-if needed, this will help and identify things you never saw coming-vital if you have never done so-Call Dr. Ray for a good recommendation here...
4- Please reschedule that Colonoscopy or schedule your first!!!
5- Blood work-this should be done every 2 years for overall health check
6- Make a yearly physical appointment if its been missed since March or you have not had one in some years-vital for overall health and bodily functions.
7- CHIROPRACTIC EXAM!!!-enough said...

It is so easy to forget about these preventative tests but super important to have them done.

Please call the office to make time for an adjustment and get your health back on track.

Thanks again!

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

Those Darn Masks...

Ill be honest with you, I can not stand wearing the masks. They make me hot, it fogs up my glasses, it makes me feel claustrophobic and it keeps me too warm. But…I understand the reason for them so I abide.

I certainly hope all of you are wearing the darn masks and following all of the guidelines we have been told to do. It is important so please continue to do so.

God willing very soon we wont need to worry about them anymore, but until then be good boys and girls and follow these instructions.

Now that things are opening up more, the office continues to be open while continually cleaned and sanitized and ready to receive all of you who have not been to the office for a while. I am sure many of your spines have been telling you it is time to call Dr. Ray for an adjustment. We are here for you as usual and will continue to be so.

I hope all of your family and friends have been healthy and safe through this pandemic. Always remember and never forget, Resnick Chiropractic is here for you!

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and staff

PS-twice in the last few months I went to drink something with the mask on and made a mess everywhere. Beware!!!
