So, again, I asked this new patient if anything triggered his discomfort/this incident. He said yes finally-last week I was pushing my slippers out of the way...
Over the past 35 years of adjusting human beings, I have heard lots of interesting ways that people hurt themselves-pushing slippers out of the way is one of the funnier things I've heard. When this patient mentioned the slippers I started chuckling and apologizing because I had just met this person. He didn't get mad at me because he knew I had a good heart as he was referred to the office for just such issues with lower backs.
I mention this story because people will deal with their issues and not come in for treatment because they feel like it will go away in a couple of days and in fact sometimes that is true. But its always a good idea to come into the office, call or email us if you think something is an issue. Dr. Ray will give you some stretches to do at home, give you a consultation or adjustment and just check you out to make sure all is ok.
Unfortunately there are innumerable ways to aggravate our spine. So keep on being safe and healthy, wear your masks and be kind. Dr. Ray is fully vaccinated and ready to keep on serving the great folks of Chester County. Thanks for the continued support.
Yours in good health,
Dr. Ray and Staff
Last week I met a patient who was in her late 40's who has chronic neck and mid-shoulder blade pain that she has had for years. She has
gone to her medical doctors a bunch of times and they talk about doing some exercise or taking Advil if she is in too much pain. Most of the doctors will not suggest chiropractic for these types of patients.
If you looked in the dictionary for the definition of "a typical new chiropractic patient" you would see this woman's picture. Why? The scenario is repeated a million times a week through the world. People who have a certain issue with their Neuro-muscular skeletal body take enough over the counter meds to get by and live with the condition.
I asked this new patient a question I have asked 1000s of times over my almost 30 years of practicing-Why haven't you come in before? Her answer was, as most answers are, "I thought I had to live with it, I thought it was apart of getting older."
I am not saying that Chiropractic is the answer to all of these problems, but I am saying that it is the answer to many of these issues since many of the reasons for this condition are living our lives and the stresses our lives contain.
So give the office a call, help yourself by getting an adjustment and you will say what most of these people end up saying, which is "I wish I would of come to see you years ago."
Stay healthy, stay well and stay safe.

Dr. Ray and Staff
But, until that time please keep social distancing where possible, washing hands thoroughly and wearing masks when needed so we don't have to deal with spikes in communities, etc.
With all of the stress from working from home and sitting more than usual our spines have been attacked and negatively effected.
Give the office a call and get in to get adjusted asap as #chiropractic continues to be helpful and assist in our overall health while assisting in a stable immune system.
We continue to keep our office clean and sanitary while following all guidelines needed for everyone's safety.
Happy New Year to all! Looking forward to seeing you in the office again this year and continue being smart with your gatherings...
Yours in good health,
Dr. Ray and Staff
