SO FAR, SO GOOD...

Hope everybody is doing well and enjoying our non-snow, cold winter.
That reminds me to remind ya'll that if we do (and I really hope we don't) get a decent amount of snowfall with inches, please remember;..
1. Be conscious of proper lifting techniques- bend the legs and knees so it is easier on your lower back
2. Please listen to your body and when you feel fatigue take a rest
3. For the senior citizens out there, try your best to hire someone or get some other party to do the snow removal for you. It really is very heavy work for the body, heart, and spine.
4. If you own a back brace, for protection put the back brace on while shoveling snow- it will increase support.
5. When fixing your clogged snow blower, make sure it is off and you bend with the knees to get residual snow out from the machine.

Just some safety tips from the Doc. Hope that spring is around the corner. Stay safe...

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

Here's to 2013!!!

I assume most of you survived the holidays. It is amazing how stressful they can be in the midst of the joy of family, friends, and blessings. Lets not deal with resolutions, lets just deal with thinking positive thoughts and doing helpful things to keep our bodies functioning at a high level.
So, always remember and never forget:
1- Eat breakfast everyday
2- Get your blood work done if you have out of date information
3- If you are turning 50 this year, sign up for a Colonoscopy
4- Get your teeth cleaned once a year, better twice
5- Listen to your wife
6- Keep loving your children
7- Get adjusted from time to time
8- Have an apple a day!

Dr. Ray and staff are here for you always. Please never forget that...

Have a wonderful new year and GO PHILLIES!

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

A Joyous Holiday Season To All

As usual, Dr. Ray is here to give you some tid-bits to make sure that your holiday season includes a minimal amount of spinal distress and agida.. So here we go:

1. When your doing "marathon wrapping" don't sit on the floor PLEASE; sit at a table on a nice chair. That's the way to wrap!
2. While making your Christmas cookies and other holiday treats, please keep changing your position. Don't just stand bent forward working on your baking. The constant flexed forward position over many hours can really create unnecessary discomfort so beware PLEASE.
3. During your shlepping of your Christmas tree and/or Hanukkah bush, PLEASE make sure to lift properly and distribute the weight correctly. I don't want you to pull your back out while your decorating your tree. Of course if you don't listen to me and you need me, I'll be there for you because Dr. Ray and staff are always there for you.

Have a joyous and peaceful Holiday and lets all send an extra prayer to our fellow human beings up in Connecticut- they need all the prayers they can get.

God bless.

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

Post Sandy- Pre Turkey

First of all, I need to apologize for "blog neglect." It wont happen again!
I certainly hope that everyone did fairly well around Chester County post-Hurricane Sandy (how lucky we were and thankful we should be.) Please remember that an incredible benefit of Chiropractic is delivering adjustments when the body has been through a lot of stress. That is often a wonderful part of chiropractic that people neglect, as everyone is so used to symptomatic reasons to come in. Please remember that stress creates dysfunction in the body, some on a conscious level and some not. Stress affects mechanics, function of joints, and the many different types of tissue that surround the joint in the body.
As Thanksgiving approaches, I'd like to express my sincere gratitude for my patients that have come to me these past 23 years. We will continue to be here for your health needs and continue to increase the quality of your lives.

Happy early Thanksgiving to all!

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

PS- Thank you to all that participated in our Facebook "Like" promotion. We hope the winners enjoy their prizes!

Celebrating Social Media!

In the past few years after being told by many different people, mostly my son Alan, that getting our office involved in the recent technologies is what has to be done in 2012. So, we've created a nice website, we've been blogging, and we are on Facebook so we can connect with people who may not have ever received chiropractic and opened their minds to the potential benefit chiropractic can have in their lives. We also use "social media" to reconnect to old patients to remind them that receiving chiropractic adjustments is not just for people who are writhing in near death like pain! (Unfortunately many people wait too long before they come in...) Preventative care is equally beneficial!

With that we come to Resnick Chiropractics recent promotion to get to 100 Facebook "likes." This promotion is to honor our valued patients and friends with prizes to make all understand how much we value social media and the great people that come into the office.

As of now we sit at 90 Facebook "likes" and want to get to 100. ANYONE THAT "LIKES" OUR PAGE AND IS NUMBERS 90-98 WILL RECEIVE A $25 MOVIE THEATER GIFT CARD!!!

OUR 99TH AND 100TH "LIKE" USERS ON FACEBOOK WILL RECEIVE A FREE MASSAGE VIA OUR MASSAGE SPECIALIST SHELLY!

This promotion is to make our patients aware of your value to us and the value of the new technologies of the world.

Start hitting those buttons now Folks!!!

Check out our website for more details and our Facebook page as well...

HOW SWEET IT IS...

One of the traditions for the Jewish new year is to bake honey cake-symbolic of the sweetness and blessing we all have to live the lives we have been given. The new year is a time of reflection. How sweet it is to of had the privilege of adjusting all the spines I have layed my hands on lo these past 26 years. How sweet it is to change people's lives, how sweet it is to increase the quality of a persons daily life, how sweet it is to educate and embrace the community. How sweet it is to continue to open people's minds and help them along the road of health and prosperity.

Lets all pray for a world of just getting along and respecting each others differences.

Yours in good health,

Dr. Resnick and Staff

A Mid-Summer's Chat with Dr. Ray

The summer surely is cruising by. Lets just go over a couple of safety issues for GENERAL SUMMER SURVIVAL:
1- Please watch the kids when they are swimming wherever, backyard pools can be especially dangerous so keep an eye on the kids at all times!!!
2- Ocean swimming? Don't be a wise guy- listen to the guards, be conscious of the undertow, etc., etc.
3- Swimming, surfing, bogey boarding, body surfing, jet skiing- be aware, be safe, don't overdue it.
4- Wait- I'm thinking- my brain is fried from the heat, so... no jogging at 3pm but rather wait till after 7, keep hydrated at all times: the heat can KILL.

Just some precautionary measures because too many accidents happen in Summertime.
With all the summer activities, your spine takes a beating. Give us a buzz and get adjusted.

Be safe-
Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff
