30 years...and counting

A few weeks ago, I realized that I was coming up on my 30 year anniversary practicing chiropractic in Chester County, PA. It's amazing to think of all the years that have gone by, but I am certainly grateful and thrilled to have been able to meet and help the wonderful people throughout the area.

My family threw me a beautiful anniversary party with lots of friends and family invited that I was completely surprised about. I still really can't believe that these many years have past.

But...the years have gone on in all their glory.

I just want to extend my sincere appreciation to the people I have had a pleasure to work on and meet. It's a blessing to have ones work involve attempting to increase the qualify of ones life. I hope and pray to continue doing my thang with #chiropractic and extending my love and care to the patients of Chester County.

As I am completely thankful for this I extend an upcoming peaceful and joyous Thanksgiving holiday to all.

Thanks again!

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

It's Never Too Late...

A couple of weeks ago I had a patient I hadn't seen for  many years come in and get some work done on her neck. She relayed to me that she had the neck issues for a bunch of years and just decided to live with it until now.

It reminded me of a patient from many, many years ago. A young woman, about 35, came in with lots of chronic issues that were residual problems from a real bad car accident she was in. She went for physical therapy and after a while was told that she probably has reached her maximum improvement.

If you know any people who are living with their chronic issues because they think that "nothing can be done"-those are people that should run, not walk, to the local chiropractic office. Chiropractic and chronic problems are like mom and apple pie-please keep this in mind.

I pray everyone is safe and healthy from the recent weather we have had in the region. Continue to be careful and watch over for each other.

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

Be Smart on the Fourth...

As the weekend holiday looms the hospitals, emergency rooms and local clinics are all getting ready for the onslaught. We humans have a tendency to do silly things on this holiday, and often silly things lead to an array of injuries. Whether it's from fireworks, surfing, wave running, beach activities, boardwalking, etc. etc. the 4th of July weekend is always filled with mishaps.

So I urge you all to be smart, keep thinking about what you do, listen to your bodies and if you feel that something is aggravating your body stop doing it.

I also want to take this time to wish everyone a safe and glorious holiday weekend. Wear your masks if where you go asks you too. For those that have not been vaccinated, consider this weekend a good time to do so if you wish. Enjoy and be careful.

Remember we are here for you in office when you need us. And of course...

Always remember and never forget- "If you have a fifth on the fourth, you may not be able to go forth on the fifth."

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

Get Back on the Ball...

This past Covid year has certainly been unbelievable and far-reaching. That being said, it seems like blue skies are finally breaking through.

Due to so many services being put on hold, many follow up exams or procedures or tests had been put on hold.

I urge all of you to please get Back on the Ball and if you have procedures or tests you should have gotten last year please reschedule them. Whether its a dental cleaning, a Colonoscopy, a Mammogram or that ever important Chiropractic adjustment! The importance of these tests and procedures are undeniable-please reschedule any and all appointments you missed during the Covid time.

Please try to get vaccinated if you have not yet. Give us a call anytime for your continued chiropractic care or consultation.

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

Don't Wait Any Longer!

I met a patent last week-a 45 year old female who was coming in with chronic neck pain and restriction of motion, chronic mid shoulder blade stiffness and chronic low back issues for many years. After examining and talking to the patient, I adjusted her a couple of times during the week and she came back this week with a smile on her face from ear to ear.

Of course I asked her "What are you so happy about" and she says- "I can't believe how much better I feel." This is something that I have heard 1000's of times over the years. The scenario is one that I have seen 1000's of times over the years as well.

The scenario I am referring to is human beings living with issues that take away from their quality of life and patients then finally trying #chiropractic when it might be too late and the pain is too much.

Don't make that mistake for yourself or someone you know. There is no reason to live with those issues when there is something available that very likely will help to an amazing and healing degree. All you need to do is call, email or message the office-please have a safe weekend, keep wearing those masks when you have to and be healthy.

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

"It doesn't take much"

A couple of days ago I had a new patient come in who is in his early 60s. He said to me he has never had low back issues before and he was in considerable amount of discomfort. I asked him as I always do, "did any incident create this" because over the years their are times when something a person does can trigger a health issue or a persons repetition at work can create issues or even many times patients will say "doc, I didn't do anything."

So, again, I asked this new patient if anything triggered his discomfort/this incident. He said yes finally-last week I was pushing my slippers out of the way...
Over the past 35 years of adjusting human beings, I have heard lots of interesting ways that people hurt themselves-pushing slippers out of the way is one of the funnier things I've heard. When this patient mentioned the slippers I started chuckling and apologizing because I had just met this person. He didn't get mad at me because he knew I had a good heart as he was referred to the office for just such issues with lower backs.

I mention this story because people will deal with their issues and not come in for treatment because they feel like it will go away in a couple of days and in fact sometimes that is true. But its always a good idea to come into the office, call or email us if you think something is an issue. Dr. Ray will give you some stretches to do at home, give you a consultation or adjustment and just check you out to make sure all is ok.

Unfortunately there are innumerable ways to aggravate our spine. So keep on being safe and healthy, wear your masks and be kind. Dr. Ray is fully vaccinated and ready to keep on serving the great folks of Chester County. Thanks for the continued support.

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

STOP WAITING-and come in!

Last week I met a patient who was in her late 40's who has chronic neck and mid-shoulder blade pain that she has had for years. She has
gone to her medical doctors a bunch of times and they talk about doing some exercise or taking Advil if she is in too much pain. Most of the doctors will not suggest chiropractic for these types of patients.

If you looked in the dictionary for the definition of "a typical new chiropractic patient" you would see this woman's picture. Why? The scenario is repeated a million times a week through the world. People who have a certain issue with their Neuro-muscular skeletal body take enough over the counter meds to get by and live with the condition.

I asked this new patient a question I have asked 1000s of times over my almost 30 years of practicing-Why haven't you come in before? Her answer was, as most answers are, "I thought I had to live with it, I thought it was apart of getting older."

I am not saying that Chiropractic is the answer to all of these problems, but I am saying that it is the answer to many of these issues since many of the reasons for this condition are living our lives and the stresses our lives contain.

So give the office a call, help yourself by getting an adjustment and you will say what most of these people end up saying, which is "I wish I would of come to see you years ago."

Stay healthy, stay well and stay safe.

Dr. Ray and Staff

Hip, Hip Hooray-2021 is here...

It certainly has been a crazy year in multiple levels and hopefully as the vaccine gets distributed efficiently Covid-19 will become something that is in our past.

But, until that time please keep social distancing where possible, washing hands thoroughly and wearing masks when needed so we don't have to deal with spikes in communities, etc.

With all of the stress from working from home and sitting more than usual our spines have been attacked and negatively effected.

Give the office a call and get in to get adjusted asap as #chiropractic continues to be helpful and assist in our overall health while assisting in a stable immune system.

We continue to keep our office clean and sanitary while following all guidelines needed for everyone's safety.

Happy New Year to all! Looking forward to seeing you in the office again this year and continue being smart with your gatherings...

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff
