Explaining vs. Complaining

Taking a patients history is probably the most critical thing a doctor can do. Listening to the patient describe his/her problems and the doctor listening intently is the first step to creating meaningful patient/doctor relationships. Many times by just listening, the doctor can form the diagnosis. Over the years as I ask patients how they are doing, after they discuss that with me they often will verbalize that they don't want to complain to me about their symptoms. It is important to understand that when you're sitting down with your doctor telling him/her about your problems you need to understand that "you're not complaining- your explaining." If you ever sense that the doctor is impatient with your "explaining," then its time to find a new doctor.

At Resnick Chiropractic, patients are always listened to with professionalism and sincerity.

Stay healthy my friends.

Yours in good health,

SPRING IS HERE; BEWARE!

I hope ya'll enjoyed our snow-less winter. Terrific for low back health, but alas the next season is here bringing its own pitfalls. Mulching, weeding, hoeing, bending, pulling, shlepping, raking, etc. etc. So please be mindful of these words; do all your spring cleaning with "Moderation" in mind. With lots of bending the low back gets abused. So please do your spring cleaning a little bit at a time. Put a little heat on your low back when you finish a days work, do some stretching in the morning (as usual hopefully!!!), and be mindful of "Moderation." As usual, we are here for your chiropractic needs if you do too much.

With the holidays coming up, we wish you a joyful and blessed holiday season.

Yours in good health,
Dr. Ray and staff
