It's April, sooooo...

...So yippee! Our college kids are coming home. Please be careful when you empty out their apartments at school or houses. Make sure to lift properly whatever the weight!!! Bend with the knees and keep your back as straight as you can while lifting those mega-heavy organic chemistry books, or whichever. Try your best to delegate so you don't bare the brunt of the college exodus. Not a bad idea to get into the office for an adjustment before you shlepp up to college. Tell your college children to give the office a call since they could use chiropractic care after they abused their bodies this past year at school. HAPPY GRADUATION TO ALL!

Sincerely,

Dr. Ray and Staff

Lets all say goodbye to the Winter of 2011, Hip Hip Horray!

I trust you all survived with minimal or no damage to your homes and some residual but not bad stiff backs from this winter of our discontent. So just a little precaution: continue to do some extra stretching, get adjusted, use some moist heat on your body to get rid of the "snow stiffness," and please with spring cleaning impending, do it smartly and with moderation. Always remember and never forget to treat your spine with love.

Friendly Immune System Tips from Dr. Ray

Some tips from Dr. Ray to keep you going during this winter from "you know where!":
- If your really sick stay home so you don't give your germs to everyone else
- If you sneeze, sneeze into your arm not your hand since the hand is one of the dirties parts of the body to begin with
- Arguably the biggest help to stay healthy: WASH YOUR HANDS  more than you normally do
- Last, it wouldn't hurt to take a couple of extra Vitamin C's daily

Stay healthy my friends,

Start the Year Off Healthy

Hey everybody out there in blog land!
Statistics show that most of our New Years resolutions go by the wayside weeks after we make them. Dr. Ray and staff are here to remind you that successful resolutions are created by one day at a time thinking. Don't look at the large picture, successfully complete each day and build upon that. So lets all remember too:
- exercise regularly
- make good food choices
- watch your posture
- get adjusted
- be nice to your loved ones
- remember your blessings
Lets all make 2011 a joyous, healthy, and happy year.

Yours in good health,
Dr. Ray

Holiday Cheer from Dr. Ray

We here at Resnick Chiropractic would like to wish you all a Happy Holiday and a healthy New Year. Just a few helpful hints for this time of year:
- Please try to remember when wrapping gifts to sit at a table, sitting on the floor wrapping gifts is a no-no for your low back! Every year patients come in with flare-ups due to sitting on the floor wrapping. It may sound silly, but please believe us.
- When it comes to snow shoveling, make sure to bend those knees properly. Try not to rotate your body too much when throwing the snow off the shovel. Also, certainly know when enough is enough. Too many people hurt themselves or create serious health problems from shoveling the heavy white stuff

Once again: enjoy, be careful, and get in touch with the office if you need anything.

With warmth and fondness,
Dr. Ray and staff
