Unbelievably so, this October I will be celebrating 30 years of practice in Chester County. It really does blow my mind that 30 years have gone by and it makes me feel terrific I have been able to deliver Chiropractic care to Chester County all of these years.
But...some things never change. Very early into my practice I realized that patients don't listen to me. I'll give them loving, constructive advice and there is many times I could tell that they are not listening to me like I was talking to my own children. How many times as a parent will you give advice to your children but you could tell that they are just not listening to you. Patients are the same way.
Last week this woman came into the office who I have known over the years, was complaining about her shoulder pain. I told her to make sure to listen to your body, but she kept on doing the same thing that was aggravating her shoulder joints.
I just want to say again as I have said a million times these past years that it is important to listen to your body. If you enjoy jogging and after your knee swells up like a watermelon maybe its time to walk and not jog for a while. There are so many examples like that but that continues to be apart of my job to remind patients about how the body works and keep them as healthy as I can.
Hope all your families are feeling fine. Keep practicing your Covid smart behavior and give the office a call to get adjusted if you need, that is always a good thing to do.
Yours in good health,
