Treat...or treat

As All Hallows Eve approaches, I couldn't help but think of the double treat I obtain as I lay my hands on my beautiful patients. It is a treat "and a blessing" to watch the body heal and start to work better through chiropractic adjustments and other tools. I can not help but feel the treat and "honor" it is to meet, get to know, and help the people of Chester County low, these past 21 years. So, I feel like I am doubly treated this Halloween. Enjoy the Halloween festivities and if your wondering...my favorite are the mini Baby Ruths, I don't need the large ones!!!! Yours in good health,

M O D E R A T I O N

I've tried my best to explain to our patients over the years how important the word "moderation" is. Sometimes I have learned that talking to my patients is like talking to my adult children. I know the words are coming out of my mouth, but I can tell I'm not being listened too haha! So to reiterate, chores that are done around the home only certain times of the year can become problematic for our spinal health if we don't do the chores with "moderation." Whether it's snow blowing, snow shoveling, weeding, mulching, leaf raking, deck washing, etc, etc.- Please always remember and never forget that if these are done a little bit at a time, it will decrease the odds of YOU hurting yourself and having an injury. So, I beg of you to heed these words and remember MODERATION.

Yours in good health,

Dr. Ray

Backpack Reminder from Dr. Ray

Dis-fucntion to the vertebral column comes in many ways. Some apparent, some disguised. Even though young spines are more durable than "ours" they still can be affected by daily activities. One of these that has been more of a problem in recent years is the ridiculous weight of our childrens backpacks. In recent years, it's been shown that these backpacks can create wear and tear problems to the joints and the soft tissue while our kids have them on their bodies. They can also have a later effect on their posture when they don't have them on. SO JUST A REMINDER PARENTS: please check your young child's backpacks to make sure they are not to heavy and remind the older kids to bring home the books that are only needed on a daily basis. I have seen more problems with child's spines in the past 10 years than ever before. Always a pleasure and of course yours in good health,

Dr. Ray and Staff

Lets talk Laptops

An important reminder from Dr. Ray: Increasing laptop usage elevates the odds of ridiculous ergonomics (proper work station placement). In other words- place your laptop on a table so your posture can be like your using a desktop computer. PLEASE don't fall into the trap of working on your laptop rolled in a ball on your bed or sofa. It is really bad for your spinal alignment and health (Not to mention Quasimodo syndrome)!!! That's why Resnick Chiropractic is here, to help with your spinal health! So please listen to Dr. Ray and don't forget to get into the office for an adjustment.

Yours for good health,
Dr. Ray and Staff

Brain Health

Hey everybody,
Hope ya'll are doing fantastic. I'm a little sluggish myself because my brain is still a bit singed from last weeks 145 degree weather, or something like that! Speaking about our brains, please remember good brain health. So...
- eat healthy food (lots of fruits and veggies)
- get enough sleep (6-8 hours)
- exercise 3-4 times a week
- and keep those positive, mental attitudes going

Speak to you soon,
Yours in good health Dr. Ray and staff

Water, Water Everywhere

Drinking enough water is important all year round to help the body hydrate itself and help with flushing out toxins. BUT with the heat of the summer, always remember and never forget to please make sure you drink enough water if your outside gardening, exercising, or just sitting around at the beach. Dehydration can happen to anybody at anytime, so drink up. Let's hear it for good old H2O. Stay healthy,

Dr. Ray and Staff
